![]() ![]() I'll respect your opinion that you didn't like the OT 800 even though you compare it to instruments that if available would sell for twice the purchase price of the 800 as that's why they make so many different banjos (or cars, bikes, cameras or whatever). OWC, I have had to think a bit about your last post because the generalization you make about "Asian made banjo"s seems a bit simplistic and today, quite outdated. You can watch the videos for some Rocket Science Banjo subjects starting here:īanjo Brad is hosting How To Mold A Mighty Pinky adn other material at ![]() Write me I will send you a copy of the entire Rocket Science Banjo with all the text now in PDF, plus all the exercise tabs and jpgs as well as "25 tunes" (which is now up to about 38) in banjo tab, playable with the MIDI built into your computer, so you can play along at whatever speed you choose to set. If you are interested in what I say and would like to know more, it ony cost the price of an email. You can then have a custom neck made and still play the instrument while you are waiting. I'd be inclined to put an older (Korean) Gold Tone neck on a Rickard made pot. It will age like every other Asian banjo, while your Lee will go on to become a vintage instrument. ![]() No matter how they dress it up, it will still be an Asian banjo. I have yet to see an Asian made banjo I would spend more than 400-500 bucks for. Having only just played an OT 800 once and only for about a minute I'm no expert in them, but I certainly wouldn't trade my Ramsey Special for a truckload of them. ![]()
